In the last dark
days of winter
When another
storm comes ‘round
When all is dead
and frozen
And snow fall
covers the ground
It’s days like
these that remind us
That life will
spring anew
The sun, it warms
and cheers us
Knowing the cold
days are few
We do not doubt
or worry
That spring will
come at last
We simply wait
with excitement
Till these wintry
days are past
So why in life is
it easy
To forget this
lesson of seasons
We think we’ll
be stuck here forever
And needlessly
fret without reasons
Yet God is still
working the while
He has not
abandoned us here
Winter will
spring into summer
And all the time
He is near
So let’s hope
for a warmer tomorrow
As the sun shines
on our face
But even so, just
remember
Today is a
pleasant place
