I just thought I'd let all of my blog readers know that I feel like have done nothing but paint for the past week. Why? Because I have a deadline to meet. This Thursday marks the beginning of the 2010 LEAH Homeschool Conference, and I have a table there for Allison's Wonderlands. Now, I've known about this since the end of March, but, being the genius that I am, I put off all preparations until two weeks before the big event!
The good news in all of this is that I work well under pressure. It simply means that ever night until Thursday will end with scrubing paint from my hands! So, here are some "sneak peak" pictures, and please, if you'll be at the conference, stop by my table in the Young Entrepreneur's section. I would be delighted to see you there!

Dancing At Letchworth
This past weekend was the Civil War Reenactment at Letchworth State Park. Although we were unbable to attend the rest of the weekend, my mom and I did accompany a friend to the dance that they had on Saturday evening. It was so much fun! I can't remember the last time I enjoyed myself so much; by the end of the night, my cheeks hurts from smiling so much! Here are some pictures. Sorry, there are no pictures of my mom; she was behind the camera the whole night!
I was going to upload a video or two, but I can't seem to find how to do it right now, so look for another post soon with videos!
That's me....at the end in the blue dress!
It eventually got too dark to use the camera; but here is one picture to show that we danced by Christmas light!!

The Best Place On Earth
Today was opening day at Genesee Country Museum, which Mom and I decided to go enjoy. It was a wonderful day, though a bit brisk, and we got to see and do some new things. We had the honor of being the first guests of the 2010 season! I also learned two very important lessons. Number one, ALWAYS recharge camera batteries before going to a museum; and number two, it's not WHAT you know, it's WHO you know. We got a few extra perks thanks to a friend who works at the museum. So, instead of boring you with all the details, I will show pictures from BEFORE my batteries died!
It is definitely one of my favorite places in the world!

Out With The Old.....
And in with the.......older??? Yup, it's the truth. I LOVE old things; there is just something about antiques that I find endearing. That being said, when I decided that I was done with my little girl bedroom, I knew that it was time to do something about my love of old. After spending one whole afternoon cleaning my room out, throwing out three huge bags of trash and donating another two big bags, it was time to start decorating.
So, with Genesee Country Village (where I would really love to live because everything is OLD) in mind, as well as tons of pictures like these to gain inspiration from:
I went for it! I raided my mom's family antiques (with her permission, of course) and redecorated several items I already owned. The result?? While certainly not as spectacular as the Museum or those pictures, it's a good start!
